Vase. Gold, top of handle decorated with incised lines representing a lotus flower; back handle inscribed; handle fastened to mouth of vase by two rivets, and is soldered on to the body of the vase. Flaring mouth, pointed base. Beaten gold.
From Nuri, pyramid 8 (tomb of Aspelta). 1916: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
