DescriptionSingle paper leaf. Obverse: Classical medallion: "Beauty directed by Prudence rejecting solicitations of Folly," stylized gilt and painted border; stylized vases flanked by birds and floral sprays at sides, borders of lavender/brown ribbon and pearl rope of bits of mother-of-pearl center; narrow red decorative border with floral sprays. Narrow gilt edging. Twenty carved mother-of-pearl sticks in chinoiserie motifs, monogram "ERM" center blades. Star-shaped blue-on-white enamel studs in rivet.
