DescriptionDouble paper leaf. "The Recovery of George III." Initials "GR" in brass sequins center, royal crown above, crossed rose and thistle below; blue-violet band across top decorated with gilt and brass sequins, inscribed "Health is restorer to ONE and happinefs to Millions;" blue-violet scrolls to sides inscribed "On the King's" (left) "Happy Recovery" (right); blue-violet band decorated with brass sequins at bottom; narrow gilt edging. Carved and pierced bone sticks, guards have blue-violet foil backing. Mother-of-pearl rings on rivet.
