DescriptionSingle skin leaf. Obverse: five vignettes: architectural setting, center; flanked by man and two women having tea, left; and man, woman, cupid, and dog in pastoral setting, right; reclining women in pastoral settings to outsides; gilt floral borders. Reverse: overlapping sheets of music, pictures of architectural ruins and woman, violin and two pipes, floral motifs to sides. Gilt paper binding, twenty-two pierced, painted and gilded ivory sticks (probably Chinese); five chinoiserie vignettes on blades, painted cupids, music, fruit, flowers surround; man on guards with gold silk satin backing. Mother-of-pearl button on rivet.
