DescriptionDouble white silk leaf. Design: three vignettes: woman encouraging bird in cage to sing by playing music box, left; man teaching woman song, center; woman embroidering, right; surrounding painted floral design with details in laid gilt-silver yarns and brass sequins. Carved and pierced ivory sticks decorated with gilt-silver and piqué work. "Shuttle-shaped" Wedgwood cameo of Terpsichore on obverse guard (added later); missing cameo on reverse guard.
