Single skin leaf. Dutch and English fleets in sea battle of Dogger Bank; merman in medallion to left with horn and upraised Dutch tricolor inscribed “ZOUTMAN” (Dutch admiral). Mermaid in medallion to right holds drooping pennant inscribed “PARKER”(English admiral). Floral swags surround, gilt borders. Fourteen carved and pierced ivory sticks with two portraits in medallions on guards, mica backing. Diamond paste studs in rivet.
