Fascinator is made with an ivory wool, that has been felted, and shaped into a small, rounded, pyrimidal form. Three black circles (1.5in. diameter), also made from felted wool, are appliqued to the ivory wool. Two of the circles are overlapping, and the third circle is placed 2in. apart from them. Seven feathers stick up from behind the overlapping circles. The feathers each have a thin, dark brown quill (that has been curled), and black barbules (with a green sheen) that have been cut into a diamond shape towards the top of the quill. The interior of the fascinator consists of black wool that has also been felted. A 2in. wide strip of grograin ribbon is sewn in the middle of the interior of the fascinator. A wire comb-like attatchment, meant to fasten the piece to the wearer’s head, has been attached on top of the grograin ribbon.
