DescriptionThis wooden figurine depicts a woman, nude, wearing a long, tripartite wig. The arms and lower legs are broken off. The figure is painted white and cream with black for the hair and eyes. The pubic area is detailed with incised lines. The figure exhibits some small cracks in the wood.
ProvenanceFrom Egypt, Sheikh Farag, SF 25. Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt. (Accession Date: December 4, 1913)
