DescriptionFibula in the form of a semi-circular bow with five beaded ridges. Catch-plate a flat tab folded under bow end with a knob on either side and incised dots and lines. Pin missing from root at other end which has rust marks indicating pin was probably of iron. Light gray-green patina.
ProvenanceSaid to come from Yugoslavia. 1985, purchased by Jonathan H. Kagan, New York; 1985, year-end gift of Jonathan H. Kagan to the MFA. (Accession Date: January 22, 1986)
