Description"Mandarin" style fan with figures that have applied faces and silk garments. Painted paper continuous pleated leaf. On the obverse is a court scene, man holding a cage (left), woman and child in building (center), man with fixed fan (right); The reverse side pictures a bird surrounded by peonies and other flowers on a white/pink background. There is gilt paper binding and red lacquered wood sticks with gold and silver painted floral motifs. Rosette brass buttons on rivet.
