DescriptionMandarin style fan with painted paper leaf, appliquéd painted ivory faces and silk robes. Obverse shows emperor and court scenes with an elaborate decorative border. Gilt paper binding. Sticks are gilt-silver filigree with green and blue enamel flowers, brass banding. Silver guards with silver filigree in floral motif with brass banding. Purple silk tassel with carved ivory melon plant and green knitting suspended from brass ring.
