DescriptionGround: fine cream linen cloth sewed to top and bottom. Design: very fine tapestry band of pink, yellow, blue, green, and black silk and cream linen. Central band; 3 rows of small connected ovals with blue edge containing yellow floral motif. At top and bottom is border with yellow guilloche enclosing yellow bird on red oval, cream palmette on block oval, or 2 yellow palmettes on green cartouche. On inner and outer edges of border is line of cream Kufic writing on green ground, decorated with yellow and red palmettes. Very thin, many holes. Inscription: undeciphered.
