Ground: coarse natural linen cloth. At bottom is fringe (.02 wide) near bottom is yellow silk stripe (.015 wide). At right is plain selvedge. Large hole at left and in center. Design: two ornamental tapestry bands (.08 apart). Center band (.02 wide) has stylized birds (addorsed) in blue, yellow, and pinkish red silk. Top band is double row (addorsed) of formal Naskh characters (.01 high) red silk on natural linen ground. Inscription: “The kingdom of God” (repeated).
