DescriptionSquare tapestry medallion of dark brownish purple wool and natural-colored linen on linen warps (paired or tripled, 9 to a cm.) In the center is an equestrian figure mostly worn surrounded by a border of ovals, four to a side, alternately containing running animals (lions and rabbits) and tree-forms; framed by a scalloped border. Much worn in places exposing the warp threads.
