DescriptionThe ground is of white silk. The design of long sprays of various flowers and leaves connected and suggesting undulating stripes, is woven with very strong green, blue, yellow, pink and violet. This piece was part of the wedding dress of Mary Beck (born 1725 - 1791, married Nathaniel Carter of Boston, in 1742. The dress is owned by Mrs. William Smith Carter.
