Fragment of fabric with sitting figures: narrow bands forming vertical ogee, interwoven with horizontal bands to form alternate rows of large and small roundels. In larger roundels: two musicians, playing on flat drums, seated face to face on low platform, with hanging lamp between. In smaller roundels: interlacing geometric pattern with eight pointed star in center. Woven with tarnished gold thread (gilded skin wound on cream-colored silk), red, green, white, blue, and black silk. Ground of larger roundels, interlacing bands, etc., tarnished gold. Garments red, and green, with small gold crosses, in alternate rows. Faces, hands, lamp, platform, and ground of smaller roundels, white. Small stars, blue. Features and hair, black (almost disappeared). Spaces between roundels, double weaving, red on surface.
