Warp of linen; ground of the central area is of natural colored linen with a design of an eight pointed star framing a roundel with four vases, woven in plum-colored wool. The vases are inside a roundel framed by a border with interlaced bands. A small cross is in the centre of the composition. The interlaced designs and details on the jars are in linen and they are executed by a flying shuttle. Various types of similar interlaced design occur in late Roman and Early Christian mosaics.
