Fragment. Oval tapestry ornament applied on undyed linen tabby-woven ground. Pattern, rendered with red, blue, yellow or green wool and undyed linen wefts, shows a pair of affronted leaping hares (?) flanking a tree that stems from a lotus-like motif. Stained; linen browned; holes. Some wools have rotted out. Tapestry similar to 55.1087.
