Circular medal of Giovanni di Lorenzo de’Medici (1475-1521). Molded rim that projects on both sides. Has a break but is not completely broken. Possibly a later impression from original mold.
Obverse: Profile bust of Giovanni de’Medici looking to proper left, wearing a large curly wig; inscribed at edge “IOANNES·MEDICES”.
Reverse: A rock buffeted by the waves; inscribed above “ERICOR·NON·FRANGOR·”.
