Sculpture

The hair is parted over the forehead and is arranged in waves on either side, in the manner of goddesses of the fifth century B.C. The face has been much damaged. There are holes in the ears for earrings. The head has been broken roughly all around the top of the crown, almost looking as if it had been topped with a polos. The back above the neck is finished roughly.
From Greece, Athens or elsewhere.
