Black buckram hat with white feathers. Buckram is shaped and manipulated into a curvilinear, flower-like, three dimensional form, and placed directly on top of the hat. Six white feathers with long quills (barbules are cut, only a diamond shape remains) stick out from within the form. The interior of the hat is lined with a black grosgrain ribbon. A black nylon cord is attached, meant to go under the chin, to help secure the hat to the head. Also on the inside of the hat, is a clear plastic comb attachment for additional security.
