DescriptionHead of Artemis Bendis. On top of the head a lion's mask. The lappet from the right side of the head is missing.
ProvenanceBy date unknown: with Edward Perry Warren (according to Warren's records: Bought at Taranto. I believe it came from a sanctuary . . .about a mile & a half or two miles along the road eastwards from the modern canal.); purchased by MFA from Edward Perry Warren, December 1901
