Obv: I TAKE THE-RESPONSIBILITY, separated by rosette between two pellets, around General Jackson in uniform, bareheaded issuing from chest and facing dexter, holding sword in right hand and bag of money in left;surrounded by beaded circle. Signed H below trunk. Rev: VAN BUREN / *METALLIC 1837 CURRENCY* around wrecked ship, with three broken masts and broken bowspirit, upon wave, running forepart upon rocks to dexter; surrounded by beaded circle unattached to rim; EXPERIMENT upon ship. Edge plain.
