DescriptionGround: netted brown silk (diamond mesh), with three rows of small men and women darned with neutral yellow and cream colored silk. The darning is separate from the netting except on the outlines of the figures. Lines of green and neutral violet separate the rows of figures and the netting is drawn together by a string at the top. Worn and torn. See Seligman and Huges, Domestic Needlework, fig. A. plate 11.
