DescriptionCircular medal of Pope Innocent XII (Pope 1691-1700), his first annual medal showing the virtue charity with three pots, a play on his family name Pignatelli. Beaded rim on both faces.

Obverse: Profile bust of Innocent XII looking to proper left; signed under bust and inscribed at edge.

Reverse: Female personification of Charity standing at center, holding a child in proper left arm and flanked by a child at each side who both tip over a jar full of riches while a third jar rests at their feet; inscribed at edge.
InscriptionsObverse: Inscribed at edge "INNOCEN·XII·PONT·M·A·I" and under bust "HAMERA.".

Reverse: Inscribed at edge "A·DEO·ET·PRO·DEO·".
