DescriptionIrregularly rectangular fragment undyed linen or cotton tabby-woven ground, embroidered with red, yellow, green and blue silks in satin and laid stitches. Upper portion shows antlered quadrupeds prancing toward left, flowers and flying birds. Lower third a band showing peacocks in poly-lobed medallions separated by foliate arabesques. Soiled; silks worn off in places; small holes, tears.
