Large jar, red washed, black and white. Horizontal band on shoulder. Rim white-washed over black band. Had been encased in coarse woven brown cloth, part of which still adhere.
From Meroe, W308, 1923: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
