This large portion of a jar stopper is made of a very coarse mud. Some small fragments are also present along with some associated loose silty ground matrix, pebbles, and grain chaff.
From Nubia (Sudan) Gebel Barkal. Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
