JOHN ADAMS, second President of the U. S. Served one term - from March 4, 1797 to March 3, 1801.
JOHN ADAMS was born in the town of Quincy, Mass. on Oct. 30, 1735. He had been Vice-President under both Washington administrations, and was chosen President by the Federal party by a small majority. He died July 4, 1826.
