Tablet inscribed JOHN / PIERPONT / MORGAN supported on left by a draped female figure holding a palm, with mask below: on right, by a nude male figure holding a hammer on an anvil. Rev. Triumphal arch with female figure in a niche in center: groups on the panels at either side. Inscribed above - Character. Religion. Friendship. Dates MDC / CCXXX / VII / MCM / XIII in two medallions. Signed E FUCHS. Published by American Numismatic Society. Struck by Whitehead and Hoag Co. Dies made in Paris under direction of artist.
