DescriptionThe pear-shaped jug rests on a raised spreading foot. The body of the jug is bisected by a horizontal molding. The jug has a short spout and a harp-shaped handle with a scrolling terminus. The hinged cover is stepped and domed, with a baluster finial and an open bar thumbpiece.
Marks
Illegible maker's mark to the right of the handle; harp crowned; illegible Hibernia; date letter D (1723). repeated on the underside of the foot, maker's mark obscured, appears to be TS with a crown above (similar to Bennett 230). repeated on underside of lid, harp crowned.
InscriptionsARMORIALS: engraved on the side, the arms and crest probably of Wilson.
