口上に「傾城夕霧自筆の文章掛物にいたし今以大坂新町扇屋四郎兵衛方に所持仕候を暫くの間借り受則夕霧伊左衛門の実説新狂言に取組」とあり。また「第壱番目小袖曽我六立目対面より第二番目恋山開不残仕」ともあり。

[1] Much of Bigelow's collection of Asian art was formed during his residence in Japan between 1882 and 1889, although he also made acquisitions in Europe and the United States. Bigelow deposited many of these objects at the MFA in 1890 before donating them to the Museum's collection at later dates.
