DescriptionTsuji banzuke promoting the kabuki drama "Shin butai iroha no kakizome" and the Kiyomoto-style Jôruri piece titled "Michiyuki tabiji no yomeiri" that were staged at the Morita Theater (Edo) from the 15th day of the 5th lunar month of Ansei 3 (1856). The banzuke was published by Ogawa Hansuke.

[1] Much of Bigelow's collection of Asian art was formed during his residence in Japan between 1882 and 1889, although he also made acquisitions in Europe and the United States.
