Harrington catalogues the impression in the Dr. Frederick H. James Collection (AK) as measuring larger than 11.5 x 8 in, supposedly trimmed within the plate mark. However, this was incorrectly catalogued as it is an impression of state III on Chine collé mounted on wove paper; it was mistakenly measured at the blanket or second plate mark used to impress the India paper on the larger sheet.
The plate re-etched; the shadows of the foliage are well expressed and the tree trunks made darker. Light drypoint work in the upper right.
