The plate’s exterior is cursorily decorated with six black squiggles, alternately enhanced in blue and green. The interior is decorated in two registers, delineated with single and double brownish-black lines. The flat rim shows a simplified version of a Chinese “rock and wave” pattern, and the center an asymmetric spray of various flowers and a saz leaf, outlined in black and colored blue, green and a muddy raised red. The drawing and coloring are of rather low quality. Possibly not Iznik?

An old label reads 3182 Rhodes XVI, and BSS XNA.
