DescriptionThis large slender ovoid jar has a rounded base. The uppermost portion, comprised of a (likely) short neck and rim, has broken off and is missing. The lower portion of the body was shaped through shaving with a straight edge.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Cemetery S, grave X-B. 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
