DescriptionFrontispiece from series, Autour des Fortifications. At least the first 16 images originally appeared in Revue Illustrée, 1886. According to Grove Dictionary, begining 1907, Amédée Auguste Desmoulins started publishing the images under the title Autour des Fortifications.

The Table of Contents includes Part 1: Voyage Autour des Fortifications, Nos. 1 - 16; and Part 2: Paris, Nos. 17 - 24. Some images were not published previously.
