DescriptionSingle folio from a dispersed copy of the Qur'an; 7 lines of Arabic calligraphy in dark brown kufic script on the recto and verso; illuminated rosette verse markers. Recto: illuminated medallion inscribed with the word khams (five) indicating the end of a fifth verse. Verso: chapter heading for Sura 52 [At-Tur, "The Mount"] in gold and outlined in brown ink; illuminated palmette projection outlined in blue ink in the margin on the right-hand side.
