Description"Cherwell" pattern printed on cotton velvet. Design of carnations, thistles, chrysanthemums and roses in tan and dark green on teal green ground. Block-printed at Merton Abbey. Same pattern known as "Double Bough" issued in 1890 as wallpaper. Full pattern repeat: 38 1/4"
