An unpatterned rectangular field bordered on either side by three bands, one above the other, embroidered in cross stitch. In the first, stylized blossoms within connectiong lozenge compartments formed by undulating leafy stalks; the second, a pair of griffin-like animals flanking a soomorphic fountain; the third, a conventionalized four-petal blossom repeating within connecting geometric lozenge compartments. The whole is bordered by a narrow band of stylized forms and edged at either end by bobbin lace plus fringe. Rust linen yarns on a white linen ground. Minor stains; some repairs.
