DescriptionCircular medal of Louis XVI (1754-1793), king of France, and Marie Antoinette, commemorating their marriage (1770).

Obverse: Two profile busts of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette looking to center; inscribed at edge "LUD·AUG·DELPHINI·ET M·ANT·JOS·II·IMP SORORIS CONNUB.", under busts "DU VIV", and in exergue "DIE XVI MAII/MDCC LXV".

Reverse: Four people gathered at pedestal with two-headed eagle at proper right and shield at proper left; inscribed at edge "SACRUM AETERNAE CONCORDIAE PIGNUS", at proper left "DUV", and in exergue "M.ANTONIA AUSTR./LUD.DELPHINO NUPTA/MDCCLXX".
