Obverse: Profile bust of Louis XVI looking to proper right; inscribed at edge “LOUIS XVI ROI DES FRANÇAIS PERE DUN PEUPLE LIBRE”, under bust “DUVIVIER”, and in exergue “ASSEMBL DES ELECT DE PARIS/LE ROI Y SEANT/LE 17 JUILLET/1789”.
Reverse: Woman in classical costume (Liberty) standing at proper left and writing on obelisk; inscribed at edge “LIBERTE ASSUREE”, on obelisk “JUILLET/MDCC/LXXXIX” and “PRESIDENT/DES ELECTEURS/ET M.L.F MOREAU/EDS MERY”, and below “DU VIV.”.
