DescriptionCircular medal of Louis XVI (1754-1793), king of France, commemorating the construction of the Louis XVI bridge ("Pont de Louis XVI") in Paris (1788).

Obverse: Profile bust of Louis XVI looking to proper left; inscribed at edge "LOUIS XVI ROI DE FRANCE ET DE NAVARRE", under bust "DUVIV", and in exergue "VILLE DE PARIS".

Reverse: Bridge over Seine at center; inscribed below "B.DUVIV.F." and in exergue "PONT DE LOUIS XVI/MDCCLXXXVIII".
