Rectangular silk cloth with design in main field of plaid composed of intersecting lines in violet-red, black and natural with small star-like floral motifs inside each square; crosswise borders are of deep violet-red with design of repeating geometric floral pattern in metallic gold and silver created by discontinuous supplementary patterning wefts; narrow lengthwise border of violet-red with repeating geometric pattern in gold discontinuous supplementary patterning wefts. The piece is made up of two lengths hands itched together down the center and each border is hands itched to the main cloth.
