Mathilde, on her knees with her hands clasped, looks to the sky asking for the survival of Malek-Adhel. He is resting against her knees, eyes closed tired and hot from his journey across the desert. His hands help to prop him up against Mathilde.
A breeze, blowing from the left, catches Mathilde’s hair.
In the background, on the right, two palm trees are visible in the distance.
