Ivory memorandum book with silver clasp engraved “K. Bigelow/ 1819”, covers carved grid pattern with small pins inlaid in blossom motifs, covers and plain interior leaves of ivory hinge on pin at bottom, fluted pencil holder at side containing wooden pencil, additional pencil with steel piece at base, names and dates written on ivory leaves
Engraved on clasp: "K. Bigelow/ 1819"
Examples of notes written in pencil on leaves: "Anna B. Lawrence[probably oldest daughter, b. 1820- d. 1893]/ November 22, 1829"; James Lawrence [probably oldest son, b. 1821]/ Jan. 4th, 1831"; Kitty Lawrence [probably youngest daughter, b. 1832-d. 1895]/ Boston Nov. 6th 1842"
