Vertical mirror frame with elaborately curved outer edges; ground deep cream color silk (now much yellowed, stained, and cracked) realistically drawn flowering vines springing from shallow container in lower central front; brightly feathered parrot perched on each side; edges finished with twisting gold covered paper strips; embroidery worked mostly in satin stitch with a little appliqué of green, yellow, black, and red satin and some couching stitches with polychrome silks and several kinds of gold metal thread.
