DescriptionMug with straight tapering sides, applied (?) narrow rim, band semicircular in section two inches below, and molded baseband. Center point on bottom. Hollow scroll handle, flat outer surface, slight grip, upper joining (which is probably repaired) almost flush with rim; disc at lower joining, rounded upcurved tip (vent hole a slit).
Marks Buhler mark b at left of handle.
InscriptionsEngraved on base in modern script "Edward Hutchinson /1678-1752)." The E is almost obliterated from handle at left below grip.
