This brooch consists of a large purple, yellow, olive, and turquoise glass bead set against a gilded filigree base with gilt leaves acting as prongs. Flanking the central bead on either side are clusters of small purple and larger turquoise and green glass beads set among sprawling gilded foliage, including leaves, vines and strawberries.

NOTE: This is part of a large collection of costume jewelry given to the MFA in 2018, which had been built over about 40 years.
