DescriptionCircular medal of Napoléon (1769-1821), emperor of France. Stamped on edge "G.DORÉ".

Obverse: Profile bust of Napoléon looking to proper left, wearing laureate crown; inscribed at edge "HIST.DE LA REVOLUTION.DE L'EMPIRE DE LA RESTAURATION ET DE LA MON.DE 1830" and under bust "PUBLIÉ PAR POURRAT FRÈRES/A PARIS".

Reverse: Man riding an eagle infront of the sun above a crowned woman standing on a balcony at center before a gather crowd in harbor-city setting, holding scepters in right hand and raising a garland, palm and olive branch and winged putto to her proper right holding an upside down torch in right hand and tablet with "N" in left hand while a group of men carry deceased man lying on tomb bed towards them, seen from behind; inscribed in exergue "MONTAGNY FECIT".
Marks Stamped "G.DORÉ" on edge.
